Next Field trip is to the Barrios of South Tucson by downtown.  Sunday April 11th meet at the HOA2 parking lot for 8AM departure.  A few streets will be visited around the 5 Points area.  Lunch afterwards at a local authentic spot.
      Field trip  to Mesquite Valley Nursery and the B&B Cactus Farm on Speedway Blvd on Tuesday April 6th to photograph the flowers, cactus, sculptures and pottery was a big success.  Hundreds of plants were in bloom and we took thousands of pictures.

 SaddleBrooke Photography Club is still active each week on the zoom platform during the pandemic and closures.  At 9 AM each Friday morning join in the discussion and sharing of photos pertaining to the theme of the week.  Use the link Launch Meeting – Zoom to log on.  More details are in the weekly emails.  2021 will still be a challenging year, but staying active in photography will help our physique and psyche. Soon we hope to be able to meet in person to do field trips and open studios. 

Congratulations to all club members who contributed photos to the ACCC Spring  Roundup on March 13th.     The keynote speaker was Darell Gulin a noted nature photographer telling us “you can take photos during a pandemic right in your neighborhood.”  He showed    his techniques and shots of flowers, birds, and butterflies in his backyard garden.                                                      

Special Zoom meeting for Feb. 19th when  John Graybill presented  a look at his great grandfather, Edward S. Curtis’s, work of photographing the Native American’s Life and the West during the beginning of the 20th century.   Over 70 people joined the discussion and were impressed by his strong will and ability to relate to our Native American tribes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Next we have scheduled Lisa Langell a professional photographer to speak to our zoom group on March 26th at 9.  The  registration details are here    The topic is The Power of Contrast.  See you there.
