SaddleBrooke Photography Club – Farewell Bob Koblewski
Bob Koblewski was known as “The SaddleBrooke Photographer.” He leaves behind a legacy
of talent, energy, generosity and kindness. In 2018, Bob was our club’s first “Photographer of
the Month.” He knew how to capture the essence of our community, the spirit of Tucson and
the unique majesty of Arizona’s wildlife. An expert photographer with a passionately keen eye,
he enjoyed taking photos of nature, wildlife, special events, arts and people. His energy
seemed boundless, frequently taking and sharing photos that he shot locally from his golf cart
and around the region via car. We enjoyed seeing the animals that included deer, javelinas,
coyotes, bobcats, rabbits and wild horses. We adored the nesting owls with chicks that he
cleverly discovered. On occasion, SaddleBrooke residents called us seeking a professional
photographer to document a family celebration. It was to Bob that we referred those requests,
knowing he would graciously accept and find time to help others preserve special memories.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The meeting rooms are open.  After more than a year of closure we will be having the weekly meetings in the Agate Room at 9 AM Friday mornings starting May 14th.  Combination zoom and in person for your photography sharing and learning.

SaddleBrooke Photography Club is still active each week on the zoom platform.   At 9 AM each Friday morning join in the discussion and sharing of photos pertaining to the theme of the week.  Use the link Launch Meeting – Zoom to log on.  More details are in the weekly emails.  2021 will still be a challenging year, but staying active in photography will help our physique and psyche. Soon we hope to be able to meet in person to do field trips and open studios.

Congratulations to all club members who contributed photos to the ACCC Spring  Roundup on March 13th.     The keynote speaker was Darell Gulin a noted nature photographer telling us “you can take photos during a pandemic right in your neighborhood.”  He showed    his techniques and shots of flowers, birds, and butterflies in his backyard garden.

Below are some of the photos submitted for the weekly zoom meetings assignments.
